Jelonek is the pseudonym of musician, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Michał Jelonek. Jelonek is often referred to as the first violinist (metaphorically and literally) of Polish art-rock scene. Jelonek is known for his experimental and innovative approach to music. He combines classical music with metal and heavy rock and progressive rock music. Jelonek enjoys combining different genres and approaches music with a sense of fun and excitement.

Jelonek takes on work of giants of classical music such as Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Tschaikovsky with zest and energy of a heavy metal band. Still, the artists remain respectful to the work of the old masters. The musician's experimental approach to rock music gives new life to classical tunes. For many members of the audience moshing at Jelonek's concert, his show might be the first time they come close to experiencing classical music. Jelonek shows, time and time again, that classical music is far from boring and stuffy concert halls.

Michał Jelonek received classical training and has worked at the Kielce Philharmonic Orchestra and string quintet Collegium Musicum. The violinist has also worked as a session musician with famous Polish performers such as Maryla Rodowicz, Closeterkeller, Mafia, or Wilki. In 2002 Jelonek joined Hunter band, and five years later he embarked on a solo career and released his debut solo album. He went on to release four solo albums, and he is one of the record holders when it comes to winning the Golden Spinning Top - award given by the audience for the best performance at the Most Beautiful Festival in the World.

This year fans of Jelonek will get a chance to enjoy his unique brand of experimental and exciting at the online edition of the festival. His show will be live-streamed on our Facebook channel and Kręcioła.TV YouTube.
