For the eleventh time, Szymon Chwalisz custom painted a rock'and'roll guitar for the Most Beautiful Festival in the World! This time, it is particularly special, as it is double neck – and that also means a double surface for airbrushing!

Whose portraits will we see on this year's guitar?

Szymon decorates his guitars with portraits of important personalities of the Most Beautiful Festival in the World: musicians, actors, politicians, or journalists – both from Poland and abroad. In previous years, we saw the portraits of, among others: Majka Jeżowska, Wojciech Mann, Dorota Wellman, Tomasz Sekielski, Andrzej Chyra, Kazik, Grabaż, Jerzy Stuhr, Katarzyna Nosowska or Renata Przemyk, as well as foreign stars such as: Ky-Mani Marley, Tom Morello, Rob Halford, Zakk Wylde, Scot Ian, John Petrucci or Tarja Turunen.

As Szymon said:

The characters immortalised on my guitars are not chosen at random. I always choose people who uniquely inspire me, who change the world in some way.

The double neck guitar allowed Szymon to paint more portraits than usual! This year, the Festival paddle will feature Tatiana Shmayluk – singer and songwriter from the Ukrainian band Jinjer, three actors – Barbara Kurdej-Szatan, Dawid Ogrodnik and Marcin Dorociński, as well as two Polish musicians – Nergal (Adam Darski) and Ørganek(Tomasz Ørganek). During the 28th edition of the Most Beautiful Festival in the World, they will have the opportunity to autograph their portraits on this unique instrument.

You will be able to meet Szymon with his guitar at the Czaplinek-Broczyno airfield - use the opportunity to see it live! We also invite you to listen to Radio Pol'and'Rock, where Szymon will be a guest. We will be broadcasting straight from the festival grounds!

Szymon first donated a guitar for auction in 2011, during the 19th Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. The idea has met with great enthusiasm and fitted in perfectly with the rock'and'roll atmosphere of the Foundation's activities. Since then, the beautifully painted guitars have become a tradition, just like their subsequent auctioning during the GOCC Grand Finales! The most expensive one was auctioned during the 29th GOCC Grand Finale for a record sum of PLN 70,100! In total, thanks to these musical works of art, more than PLN 350,000 was raised for the GOCC! ♡

This year's guitar will traditionally be put up for auction during the 31st Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity in January 2023. You will be able to bid for it at the Allegro auctions for GOCC.
