4 music clubs, 10 fantastic bands, 5 jurors, over 2000 kilometres, and countless hopes and dreams about performing at the 25th-anniversary edition of Pol'and'Rock Festival - that's Final 11th Emerging Bands competition at a glance. The Saturday show at Progresja Music Club in Warsaw marked the last chance to impress the judges and convince them that the band has what it takes to woo the audience at the Most Beautiful Festival in the World and rule one of the stages of the festival. The jurors observed the bands carefully, noting their strong points and looking for that unique star-factors, which would set them apart from the rest of the competition. Finalists had only 20-minute set each to show off their musical talent and stage presence.

MAIN STAGE:

What happens when you let your musical imagination run wild? The answer lies in the music created by the young Silesian band. A huge dose of classic rock energy, wild bass and youthful energy and talent come together when the band hits the stage. Hurrockaine play an interesting variation of melodic alt-rock and they have been praised by their creativity and talent and one of their singles has reached the top of Turbo Top Antyradio hit list in 2018.

Ornette is a fresh project of very experienced Polish and international musicians, which allows them to experiment and create more interesting, more innovative sounds. Their passion is infectious and they are able to put a spell on the audience with their energetic take on rock'n'roll music. The band combines original material with new, and visionary musical take on famous rock anthems.

SECOND STAGE:

  • Przybył

Sławomir Przybył is a singer-songwriter and guitarist. His musical project combines the tradition of "dramatic song" -a specific, very popular in Poland genre, where the singer uses all possible ways of expression to convey the creative message of music and lyrics, jazz, blues, and rock. The artists showcase their mastery and talent as well as draw the audience into an interesting world of performance art, where music is paired with emotions to create a full-fledged musical and dramatic experience.

Heartfelt lyrics and honesty of expression are two features, which discern Chevy from other bands. There are classic rock and grunge influences in their music, and Chevy's unique brand garners more and more attention from music fans and critics alike. Their songs have made it to top Polish radio stations and the band has performed at music festivals in the country and aborad.

 NIGHT AFA STAGE:

A creative force to be reckoned with. Karolina Czarnecka is a performer through and through who has her stage image and performance worked out to the tiniest of details. It is obvious that the young singer-songwriter lives and breaths performance arts and she effortlessly blends music genres into one, cohesive performance.

Kraków Street Band have sent a bunch of positive vibes our way. The artists move between modern folk, jazz, and blues to create a unique, fresh take on the music which fits the spirit of their home-town perfectly - it's bohemian, nostalgic, and vibrant. The band is busy promoting their third studio album.

LECH STAGE:

Zagi is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter. The music created by the young artist is a vibrant mixture of genres and moods - lyrical, gentle ballads are often followed by more aggressive, energetic rock anthems. In 2018 alone, Zagi has played 47 live shows and was featured at Orange Warsaw Festival, Spring Break and Asymmetry Festival.

They are hungry for success. Terrific Sunday played some of the most important festivals in the country: Open'er Festival, Orange Warsaw Festival, and Jarocin Festival and they shared the bill with some of the most acclaimed contemporary bands. The artists focus their efforts on creating indie rock tunes. So far, the band has released two EPs.

Vane are all about heavy sounds. Combining powerful sounds inspired by death metal with stories from the golden age of piracy results in pure, unadulterated power.

Music is a force to be reckoned with. It's the power which can bind people together and make them better, more open, more tolerant. We are extremely proud when we can introduce you to new, interesting bands and when we can follow the rise of talented artists. Our festival is unique because it banks on passion rather than money, talent rather than commerce, and friendship rather than politics.
