We have been nominated in the Best Major Festival category for the second year running! We are against 32 huge European Festivals - the list of nominees includes the likes of Roskilde Festival, Wacken Open Air, Colours of Ostrava, or our Polish Open'er Festival. In order to qualify for Best Major Festival Category, the average daily festival attendance has to exceed 40 000 participants daily.
The public poll will end on November the 30th, and a panel of judges will decide the winner based on a shortlist of candidates, which will be published on December the 10th. You can help us make the shortlist - cast your vote!
European Festival Awards is an initiative at the forefront of the music business, awarding music events, which aim to set new trends, inspire change and set an example of stellar experience for festival-goers. Some of the award categories include honours for the best environmentally friendly initiative, innovations in health & safety regulations as well as an award for the social involvement of the event as well as inspiring ideas in the area of marketing and brand activation award.
All in all, there are 10 awards given to festivals - depending on their audience size and venue. Experts also honour the best line-up and celebrate individual input of festival promoters, agents, and select music newcomers of the year. This year there are 5 other Polish music festivals nominated in public opinion polls.
Launched in 2009, European Festival Awards are a joint initiative of Festival Awards Ltd, Yourope Festival Association and Eurosonic Noorderslag conference, and it has been since established as one of the key events for festival organisers in Europe. The annual event attracts participation from almost 350 festival from across the continent and is a great opportunity for professionals to meet and exchange ideas and good practice.
