Jerzy Górski is a legend of Polish sports. He has competed in some of the most strenuous competition in the world and became a double Ironman World Champion on September 3rd, 1990. He has completed 7,6 km swim, 360 km bike ride, and 84 km run in 24 hours, 47 minutes, and 46 seconds. Jerzy Górski took part in the famous New York marathon and competed for this run in 3 hours, 1 minute, and 16 seconds. Jerzy Górski took part in Ultraman World Championship at Big Island. He has completed the challenge, consisting of 10 km swim, 421 km bike run, and 84 km run in 31 hours, 43 minutes, and 32 seconds.
This decorated athlete is also a member of Polish Triathlon Association and the chairman of "Głogowski Triathlon" sports centre. He is also responsible for organization and promotion of different triathlon competitions and championships.
Górski has been awarded a bronze medal for Outstanding Achievements in Sport in 1990 and in 1996 he has been awarded "Olimpionic".
